Animation can help

A good story is a good story regardless of the medium: Yet, everyone knows the guy that simply cannot tell a good joke. The reason the joke or story breaks down is that good story telling requires certain key elements be threaded one after the other after the other. When that sequence does not take place the story breaks down.

Every story must have a beginning, middle, and end and they must be related in that order. A good story takes the time to build important traits into characters, define plot, a measured sense of pace to move things forward, and a certain tone and style. Animating a simple introduction to new series of connected stories is one way to use animation to its fullest helping to set the audience up to expect a special tale each time they see that set of graphics.

At KEPHA we help our clients first by detailed planning. It is not enough to simply decide to use animation. Without planning the result is often a hodgepodge of cute characters on screen, but no message delivered.

An example of how animation can be used:

The LOGOS Ministry (now GenOn Ministries) needed a simple animation that could be used to introduce various educational materials. They chose to use Flash animation. As you will see as you watch the first few seconds it is a simple measure to change the text and prepare the animated sequence for a different topic.
